The University of California, Davis, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is recruiting for a Health Sciences Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor in the clinician/teaching series to serve as a teaching attending in its Outpatient Clinics both in the Child clinic and the Early Psychosis clinics. Experience in coordinated specialty care for first episode psychosis is preferred. Appointment is in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. This position will involve supervising child and adolescent psychiatry and general psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as serving as the medical director for the early psychosis programs. Appointment at the Assistant or Associate level is contingent upon experience in this area.
Requirements for this position include a medical degree, board certification in general psychiatry and completion of a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship, a California Medical license (or eligibility for licensure in the State of California) in addition to teaching and supervisory experience for residents, fellows, and medical students. Board certification in child and adolescent psychiatry is highly desired.
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has approximately 65 residents in six residency training programs and 80 faculty and staff psychiatrists and psychologists. The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry works closely with the MIND Institute as one of its clinical training sites. The department provides a stimulating teaching and research academic environment and serves a culturally diverse population.
